About Martin Schröder

I am a social scientist interested in social inequality, welfare states, varieties of capitalism, economic sociology and morality. I received my PhD from the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Societies in Cologne and studied at the University of Osnabrück, the University of Cologne, Sciences Po Paris and Harvard University. I research how social inequality and what is seen as morally appropriate inequality interact. I hold a professorship for economic sociology at the University of Marburg.
